The 2% Problem | Kaitlyn Fitzgerald of the Jane Project Presents at TENWEST

Kaitlyn Fitzgerald of the Jane Project shares about the 2% problem in her presentation at TENWEST 2026, highlighting the glaring gender inequities faced when female entrepreneurs and founders from historically underserved demographics attempt to access funding and capital for their projects, despite the data demonstrating that these companies are more profitable.

Kaitlyn shares a solution-based model for changing who gets funded by also changing the investors and decision-makers. Originally presented as part of the Access to Capital session at TENWEST 2026 featuring a panel discussion with Danny Knee of CIC, Kristin Priscella of the State Forty-Eight Foundation, Aly Saxe of The Jane Project, and Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, this session is part of the Arizona Capital Access Program.

CIC is proud to have received a grant from the Nasdaq Foundation to support the ongoing expansion of the Arizona Capital Access Program.
